Jim + Tina { Keweenaw Mountain Lodge wedding }

Jim and Tina were married in Calumet this past Saturday on such a lovely day.   Which is extremely
fitting for two lovely people.  This couple along with their family and friends all traveled to the beautiful
Keweenaw for a destination wedding…lol.   Or so I was informed during the speeches that this was
in fact a destination wedding 😉

They were married in St. Paul the Apostle – the very same church as Tina’s parents.  🙂

Tina had so many neat details such as these hangers she made for herself and her bridesmaids.
All smiles getting ready.
Her gorgeous bouquet was provided by Calumet Floral.  Continue reading “Jim + Tina { Keweenaw Mountain Lodge wedding }”

Bret + Michelle { Houghton MTU wedding }

Bret and Michelle are one of the sweetest couples I have worked with yet.   When I met them for the
first time I instantly loved them (and their families).   I knew their wedding
was going to be fun and a very happy occasion.

The number of their guests who traveled hours and hours to come to their
U.P. wedding is a testament to how awesome these families are 🙂

Bret and Michelle planned a very chic and simple wedding on MTU’s campus.  They met at
MTU so it’s such a neat part of their story that they were able to be
married here also!  They had a beautiful short and sweet ceremony in the
bright and sunny Rosza lobby and their reception followed in the Memorial Union Ballroom.

Rhian was on hand to provide make up.  She always does such a beautiful job.Bret and Michelle had the inside of their rings engraved.  I love this!   All of you future brides and grooms take note…lol.. The beautiful flowers were provided by The Blue Iris in Houghton.An instruction manual for the pocket squares.. Mom to the rescue 😉 Continue reading “Bret + Michelle { Houghton MTU wedding }”

Dominican Republic – The tourist post

I did not take a ton of photos on this trip (besides the wedding)..  most of them are on my iphone.
I use my iphone as my point and shoot because my big girl camera is soo stinkin heavy to lug around.
But I did take it out a few times to capture some of the scenery.
The resort we stayed at was beautiful.   I felt like we were in a small town.

We haven’t seen flowers in months!  I was loving all the pretty colors.
One of the many pools.
Main lobby walking from the pool area.
One of the buffet restaurants overlooking the pool.
The view from one of our balcony’s.  (There were two!)My love…  going back up the 4 flights of stairs for something I forgot.  (I made him do it again right after..lol.)
Another pool.   We chilled on one these cabanas one afternoon.   It was divine.  😉
The view from the main lobby.
The beach!   Oh the beautiful beach.
My love and I.
And back home to our kiddos.  Such a pretty sunset.

Andrew + Cassey { Domincan Republic destination wedding }

Andrew and Cassey were married on beautiful Punta Cana, Dominican Republic last Saturday.  They are high school sweethearts
and have been together as long as I have known both of them.  When they inquired about having me photograph
their wedding in Dominican Republic I was first quite shocked and then super excited.
It was a pretty surreal and amazing experience.

Surrounded by 46 family and friends who traveled the thousands of miles
to be there, they promised forever to each other.  They were married in a beautiful garden
setting on a hot and sunny day in the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Resort.

Cassey’s dress required an instruction manual..lol.  They were looking up instructions on her phone 😉
