Happy 2013 everyone!
I’ve been enjoying a little break from the computer, blogging, photography..etc… It’s a good time of year to do some of the things I don’t have time for during the busy season. I was hopeful to take the time to do fun stuff like reading, working on the house and hobby stuff this winter and January is shaping up to be a good month for that 🙂
I have plans to be a better blogger over the next few months. I still have lots and lots of senior sessions to blog! So stay tuned for those.
So what have I been doing!?
I’ve been addicted to Pinterest lately 😉
The result of that is some yummy home cooked meals 🙂
I made this the other night… It was amazing!!
I’ve been dreaming of redoing some rooms in this house. Matt used to pretty much be the decorator around here but suddenly, thanks to Pinterest, I have an opinion now and it doesn’t always match up with his 😉
One of these days I’ll get around to posting our before and afters. I love before and afters 🙂
Here’s a before of our kitchen to pique your interest.
What’s really been keeping me busy right now is sewing! Or more specifically, quilting. 🙂 It’s something I’ve always wanted to try but never had the motivation or time to do. Pinterest has really inspired me with all the gorgeous fun and modern quilts that are always being posted.
Camille from Simplify is really the one who has inspired me the most. Look at her fun happy quilts!
The first quilt I made was a t-shirt quilt for someone special. The stitching was pretty homely but I was still proud of myself! I made up my own pattern and everything. And of course, I forgot to take a final picture before I gave it away but here it is before it was quilted:
And this is my current project:
A fun colorful quilt for Kirsten. I’m loving the whites with fun happy colors. It’s coming together quickly and I’ll show this one when it’s done.
And to add to the randomness of this blog post I’m including this picture. One of my goals is to take more photos of my kids. I took so few last year, it’s sad. That needs to change. We need these silly pictures to look back on 🙂
