Jeff and Lydia’s wedding was on one of the hottest
days this summer but the heat didn’t put a damper on their day at all. They were
one of the sweetest couples I have had the privilege of photographing. It was a wonderful
wedding day with the ceremony taking place at Evangel Baptist in Houghton.
Lydia’s gown was absolutely gorgeous!
I love that they went with amethyst in the engagement ring. Lydia’s favorite color is
purple so it is very fitting 🙂And you all know how much I love etchings inside the rings 🙂 Jeff and Lydia
chose their favorite bible verses as their etchings. How many engineers does it take to tie a tie…??? lol 😉I guess you could say the same thing about the dress 😉 There were beautiful purple iris’ outside of the church that went
along with Lydia’s purple theme perfectly.Lydia was such a beautiful happy bride!
Lydia was surrounded and supported by a
wonderful group of girls. And on a side note – the mother of the bride
did most of the girls hair! This wedding was full of firsts for me. Loved that Jeff and Lydia
took some time to spend in prayer together
before their ceremony. But of course… they wanted to keep first looks
to the alter so they were blindfolded!Eric, Jordan, David and Tyler were there to support Jeff on his big day.
(See, I got the names down…eventually!)After the ceremony we headed to Covered Road for portraits. This is a
favorite spot of Jeff and Lydia’s. The bugs were crazy bad but this group was
troupers and had fun despite them.Happy to be married!!?? 😉The reception was at the Finnish American Heritage Center. It’s really a neat place to hold
a reception. It’s been redone recently and looks great!
First dance as Mr. and Mrs. Kiel 🙂
Thank you Jeff and Lydia for the opportunity to capture your special day!
