I’m excited to share this fun engagement session with you today. Danny and Gabby were engaged last fall so we celebrated with a session last week 🙂
I’m so happy with the gorgeous sunshine we had since I thought we would for sure get rained out. That is spring in the U. P. for you 😉 It was a beautiful evening and a ton of fun to hang out with these two 🙂
A huge thank you to Gisele Ryan of Make-up by GR for providing hair and make-up!
It’s been a super great fall filled with amazing seniors and even a few newly engaged couples. That all leaves me with with loads of
winter blog posts.
But today I am sharing the slideshow from Nick and Erica’s session last week. These two were so fun and they let
me experiment with video during their session. Loving adding small video clips for my engaged clients and now that
my super awesome camera has video it’s easier to include.
I know how much I would love to have something like this from when Matt and I were
first engaged sooo many years ago!
Sometimes sessions just fall together
in ways you couldn’t plan out if you tried. This session was
kind of like that. We took advantage of a family camping weekend
to grab some quick photos of my sister Kaitlin and her fiance Aaron. We almost didn’t
even do the session because Kaitlin was exhausted (remember we were camping!) and not feeling
up to it. I remembered this beach from a recent Munising wedding
so we took a drive and decided to just see what we could come up with.
A beautiful hazy cloud
cover was out which made for the prettiest softest light. I think this
session lasted all of 20 minutes but I love it! It shows two people
who love each other and make each laugh and the scenery isn’t bad too!
Nathan and Katie met while attending Michigan Tech.
They were visiting the area last weekend and made arrangements
to have Fall engagement photos taken in the gorgeous area
that they fell in love.
We started off on covered road. It was the
last week of September so we were hopeful there would
be a bit more color by now.
When Katie told me they would be
bringing a vintage bicycle to use I was excited! It was fun
to have a cool prop to use. And very fitting for them
as they love biking together.
We finished off our session at Houghton Breakers. It completely
clouded over by the time we got there and even
though we were looking forward to some sunset photos, the
clouds provided soft pretty light and allowed photos that
could not otherwise have worked.
Congrats Nathan and Katie on your recent engagement!
